I love seeing what other people are wearing and always have. I think that most people have a fascination with what other people are wearing if they admitted it! Think about it, (this is prob just a girl thing!) you got to a party and after the initial greetings the conversation usually turns to what people are wearing. "I love your dress/shoes/earrings" "Its fabulous, where did you get it?" "Did you see what so-and-so is wearing?"
Since I discovered this big interesting world of tinternet I've loved Streetstyle blogs (some links on the left). I'm a big fan of Susie Bubble, Miss Woo, Jennine, the Clotheshorse and other bloggers who often show us what they are wearing, and I regularly browse through the wardrobe-remix pool on flickr too. I'm not entirely sure why it is, but seeing what real life people are wearing is somehow so much more exciting and inspiring than just looking at fashion on the runway (although thats fun too!).
Anyway, I'm not quiet ready to show myself top to toe for the world to see, but I thought I'd share a few glimpses of what I wore yesterday. Its an outfit that makes me feel happy and reminds me that spring is on its way!
Shirt (not visible) and red belt - Penneys

i've added you back :)
What a tantalizing glimpse...love the mix of patterns...
I'll be adding you back shortly.
just found your site through your comment on stylealchemy. it's lovely.
i must say what you have shown is gorgeous. i love the mixture of colors and patterns, plus the contrast with the gray. very nice!
Thats an adorable outfit.
I was thinking the same thing at work today. Like after I rang people out my eyes would just gravitate to their bag. I was surprised to see so many high end bags walk into CVS.
Judging by the colours your outfit looks fabulous! And thanks for the mention and link, I linked you back too!

What a great idea, a striking image & intriguing too to present your outfit in tantalising snippets - you could get a real project going from such a starting point, it would be great to see a 'daily garment diary' or something of the kind develop.
Love the teaming of the bold print with the two greys here, & the red belt, it's a really individual look that shows care behind its composition - the mix of textures & surfaces is visually interesting too.
I found your blog via a comment you left on Kirsty Hall's (which itself I'd arrived at via a mention on someone else's drawing blog...) - I must say I really enjoy your posts, your writing & the enthusiasm it conveys for your broad range of creative & cultural interests, it's become a pleasure to visit your page & catch up.
Thank you especially for bringing my attention to Paul Greenleaf's 'Correspondence' project, which is fascinating, such a good idea & poignant too (I have a love of old postcards & indeed attempted to make work from some years ago).
Thanks also for your December Group exhibition review - again your enthusiasm for the art you saw shone through & it introduced me to the work of some fine painters (had only heard of Hughie O'Donohue previously).
Look forward to your continued posting.
Wow Thanks guys for all your comments! I never expected such an overwhelming response to this post! I'll definately try and post some more outfits and maybe even make it a 'semi'-regular feature.
I love the mixed prints and belts. And I'm flattered whenever anyone links to me!
from what i've seen so far, your outfit looks so happy and colorfuL! love the mixture of prints :)
the snippets that you're choosing to show look so lovely - can't wait for the day when you decide to show a bit more!
it's a cool idea of showing only snippets of your outfit! i always do the full dose - head-to-toe
Thanks for the lovely comment on my blog. I definitely think the Internet is good for introverted types, I am not so unconfident as to strutter or yammer when I get the spotlight, but at the same time I prefer the organization and expression available in the written word. I also tend to be drawn to people like myself, they don't carry the conversation, but whatever they say seems to be thoughtful, it makes me want to spend more time with them and get to know them. My extroverted friends seem to be "what you see is what you get," a longer time spent with them might be entertaining, but not very revealing about their character.
what a cute outfit! and just by posting pieces of the ensemble makes it that much more intriguing! thanks for the link to Fashion Filosofy. I'll link you back. By the way noticed you're a fellow Irish blogger? :)
hey there!
I love the mix of materials especially, seeing it as a whole would tell a lot more, though!
keep on doing that!you other posts are great, too bwt.

I love the gorgeous bright colour and pattern you've chosen.
I know what you mean!
I do love seeing what others are wearing.. there is actually a book by NYLON on street style, which is just like a printed version of facehunter.. only with more detail. Its worth checking out anyway.
And what your wearing does look super chic. One day perhaps i too will use my own pictures as part of my posting, as i do think they bring a personal touch.
Great blog,
Link exchange? :)
Those are some great glimpses.... would love to see more!
