I was so excited last week when the biggest Amazon box I've ever seen arrived on my doorstep. I knew straight away what it was - my birthday present- the book "Tim Walker - Pictures". My birthday was almost a month ago so it was a nice surprise on a very normal week. I didn't even mind that it was late - it eventually found its way into my hands and I love it! Thanks Mum & Dad!
Its a huge book with lovely glossy pages. It even comes in its own box. There's a sense of occasion reading this book, it requires a bit of effort to take it down from the shelf and open it up which, makes you stop and consider each page carefully. It is as big and lavish as on of Tim Walkers fashion shoots. Full page photos are interspersed with scrapbook pages with the inspiration behind his shoots, and the captions to each photo tell a little story. This is a book that I'll be looking at for years and each time I read it I'll see something new.
