I saw these cool wall hangings from Multistorey design studio today featured on another blog. (Unfortunately I can't find which right now, so if its you let me know and I'll credit you!)
They reminded me of the fabulous jeweller Grainne Morton who incorporates beautiful buttons into many of her designs. I particularly love these brooches but do visit her website and see her other designs. They make me happy and remind me of colourful sunny childhood days!
Partly inspired by Grainne Mortons designs I made some button brooches for Christmas presents this year. Maybe I should make one for myself next (its going to be a while before I can afford one of Grainne's Designs!) Sorry, photos aren't the best.

I love buttons! I used to make button bracelets and I wore them once to an Amish market, on accident...you see Amish don't believe in buttons--they are symbols of vanity.
